Longines Legend Diver Automatic Review

Bringing back a mid-century clock is always a must-have for celebrating. Pop open a bottle of champagne and jump in to fully explore Longines Legend Diver Automatic 42mm.

Today we will take a closer look at Longines Legend Diver, a re-release of the original model that was launched in 1960 about sixty years ago. I have seen the number of people increasing by the manufacturers of watches over the last year as they bring back the old color and combine it with a new and improved system.

HOW THE STORY BEGAN

There is another charm on the watch that has little or no shape, not very little. Many watchmakers have done this. For example, Omega also launched a popular trilogy of their own 1957 guard not long ago. All this time in the history of watchmaking has attracted a lot of attention from collectors even today. Especially with the collectors who are in it for horology, a variety of ancient lives that appreciate a fascinating history and business transformation.

“LLD” as it is known to some watchmakers dates back to the late 50’s and early 60s, which was a time when it had its advantages. This finesse was most evident on watches that had just come out of the 50s until the early sixties.

The Longines Legend Diver appeared 7 years after Blancpain Fifty Fathoms, the first modern jump watch, was introduced. This was a time when the market for swimming watches was full of excitement and the need for jumping clocks was very important.

More than 60 years have passed since the discovery of the clock and by this time, Longines had explored ways to make a precision clock. There have been some major changes in the release of the 2020 Longines Legend Diver and we will explain everything in this review. First, let’s take a look at the different styles available in the Longines Legend Diver 2020 series.

DIFFERENT EXAMPLES

Some models feature a stainless steel bracelet as illustrated here. Some models have a curtain fabric, and there are models that come with rubber straps, each with a new caliber under the hood.

There are two types that come with a metal bracelet all of which look similar in jewelry but have different motions that give them power. The content here is # L3.674.4.50.6 (AKA L36744506) which comes with a solid cover book called: The Longines Sport Legends Collection, The Book of Exploits.

The watch is hand-mounted with a metal strap with a protective latch and is powered by a Longines caliber L633. This caliber is drawing transmission line 25-jewel ETA 2824-2 caliber reliable. It runs on a standard 28,800 VPH / 4Hz and has a capacity of 38 hours.

Another type of metal band (reference # L3.774.4.50.6 (AKA L37744506) is attached to the arm with a twisted button strap and has another type, 21-jewel Longines L888 set at ETA A31.L01. making it a 3.5Hz speed but in a hurricane, it outperforms the L633 with a maximum power of 65 hours.

Model L3.774.4.50.0 (L37744500) which comes in a black leather jacket with a white sole, and uses the L888 system.

The Model L3.774.4.50.9 (L37744509) is made of stainless steel, comes on a black rubber stand, and uses the L888 system.

Model L3.774.2.50.9 (L37742509), has a Black PVD case, comes in a black rubber belt, and works L888 movement.

LAW

The watch is 42mm in diameter and is made of stainless steel and has a well-polished end. The twisting straps reach all sides of the bag to help align with the shape of your hand. The double crown on the right side of the case has a rib on its side and a checkered shape on the tops. This makes the crown easier to hold. a small bezel appears around a sapphire stone. The combination of sapphire crystal is one of the many changes that have taken place in the re-release of the Longines Legend Diver watch.

DIAL & BEZEL

Another thing that impresses me about the watches in this series is the rounded bezel on the outside. inside of the newly added sapphire crystal sapphire. The bezel has three bright-in-the-dark corners pointing down to indicate where the bezel starts, and the hour markers within the ring are placed with a small bright circle. Arabic numerals are used to indicate places 12, 6, and 9 o’clock and are marked with a long line made of bright objects. The 12 o’clock number shows a bright line like the number under the numbers, the 6 o’clock number has a line above the numbers, and the 9 o’clock number shows the bright line on the right.

The second well-recorded song, similar to the one in the series, is on the inside. The bezel on the edge of the dial uses mixed Arabic numerals, sword-shaped symbols, and dots. You will also see a date window in a 3 o’clock position with well-printed borders.

LACK OF WATER
