By now everyone must have noticed that the old-fashioned clocks are very aggressive. Almost every watchmaker has released their own models since yesterday. However, of all the flying watches out there, few bring back images of the post-WW2 era as a smaller Air Command watch from Blancpain. The new color is equally beautiful but different from the original.
TIME
This watch has a 42.5mm stainless steel case with a clear sapphire crystal on the back that gives you the opportunity to see a beautiful finished finish. The bezel wraps around both sides and has an edge.
DIAL
Dial is a dark black and has well-printed white moments, seconds, and sections of the second song. One thing that differentiates between this small and original design is that in the most recent version, the word ‘Flyback’ is printed in white on the top at 6 p.m.
The clock dial has a reference number AC01-1130-63A with brightly colored instruments that glow green in the light. This bright filling is used by hand-drawn pencils, bold stencil-colored numbers, as well as on indices and minute markers of a round, double-sided bezel. The middle hand of the musical instrument is the second hand of the chronograph. There is a 30-minute record at 3 a.m. and a 12-hour record at 9 a.m. These small notes combine the numbers 2, 4, 7, and 8 o’clock and draw a small round piece from the numbers.
WALKING

The Air Command has a brown cowhide belt with the vintage shape. It is soft to the touch and comfortable to wear, even for long periods of time. The strap is fastened with a stainless steel pin with the Blancpain logo.
CHRONOGRAPH
This watch has a flyback chronograph, this is a clock stop function that allows it to be reset to zero position and press a button. The chronograph is operated using stainless steel wipes on the right side of the case above and below the curved crown.
SUMMARY
This watch was carefully designed and has a new interest in detail. Each thread of this watch looks like a hundred years, a thousand years different. However, anything that makes this watch a ‘tick’ is only temporary in terms of foresight.
This small print is a new revision of the 1950s Blancpain Air Command that was shipped to the US Air Force. Few are present and usually carry a good coin in the mall. Most importantly, you don’t have to be Eddie Rickenbacker or Curtis LeMay to wear one of them.
